A state-approved foundation in the field of Earth Sciences hyphen between North and South.
CIFEG is a state-approved foundation in the field created in 1981 shortly after the success of the International Geological Congress in Paris. His head office is in Paris and the operational center in Orleans.
CIFEG main objective is to promote exchanges, training and cooperation in the Earth Sciences field, to provide sustainable development in benefit of the South.
The foundation contributes to reduce poverty by developing actions based on valorization and dissemination of geoscientifics information. This approach aims to promote the whole earth sciences in Africa (underground resources, mineral, hydrogeologic, natural hazards and renewable energies) and to improve human skills to answer the challenges linked to the use of georesources and to deal with climate changes.

CIFEG foundation completes its missions thanks to subventions, donations and bequests it is allowed to receive. This financial support is primordial to face the XXIst century’s challenges which developing countries face regularly.
Important tax benefits are granted for any payment to CIFEG:
for individuals: tax reduction of 66% of the given amount, limited to 20% of the taxable income
tax on capital reduction of 75% in the limit of 50 k€
for enterprises: tax reduction of 60% from the given amount, limited to 0,5% of the turnover
CIFEG is a member of the French Center of Foundations (Centre Français des Fondations). |
